Sekar Langit in Javanese Language, Sekar means Flower and
Langit means Sky, so if they translated, they mean the Flower that Fall from
the Sky. Sekar Langit Waterfall is the eves water from the top of Telomoyo
Mountain, the mountain that restrict Salatiga and Magelang City in Central
Java. Sekar Langit Waterfall has around 30 metres height and its waterflow will
flow to the west, to the Elo River’s waterflow and after that, it will estary
in the South Java Sea.
Located about 5 kilometres from Kopeng, from North ways of
Salatiga City. It can be reach by personal vehicles, like motorcycle or cars,
with asphalt road conditions, but so steep and derivative. To get this Sekar
Langit Waterfall, can be reach from two ways. First way, enter from Salatiga
City, where after arriving in Getasan Village (before Kopeng), take the road
turn left until the gate. The distance between this village to the gate are
around 3-4 km. Whereas the second ways enter from Magelang city to the Grabag
Area with down the hills. From the Grabag District, it can be reach with around
10-15 minutes, with the gates in Dalangan Backwood, Ngaban Pandean Village.
After from the gate, the way to the watrfall is around 500
metres. Through the bridge and the uphill footpath through the Pinery Forest.
Along the road, posted some notice boards which placed near the the tree to
remind the visitors if the rainy comes, they must get out from the location. This
is because the deluge often happen which come from the headwaters if the rainy
season comes. So there is also prohibition for take a bath and go down to the
river when the rainy day comes.
